Educational Workshop | Dashmesh Public School, Manuke, Ludhiana | 12 Dec, 2015
Atam Pargas Social Welfare Council organized an educational workshop on the topic ‘Efficient Teaching: Methodologies and Responsibilities’ at Dashmesh Public School Manuke, Jagraon, Ludhiana with the support of the management committee and staff of the School. More than 300 teachers and principals from 31 educational institutions participated in the workshop. The workshop commenced with recitation of Kavishri by students of Guru Nanak Public School, Bassian. The workshop provided an opportunity for the participant delegates to introspect their teaching ethodologies. Dr. Varinderpal Singh, Chairman Atam Pargas Social Welfare Council and Senior Soil Scientist, PAU, Ludhiana sensitized the teachers for their duty as ‘Nation Builders’. In his key address he cautioned the decline of moral values among the students and inspired the teachers to address the issue by developing themselves as ‘Role Models’ while following teachings of the Gurbani. He touched the grass root realities from daily routine life and gave tips to encapsulate the teaching methodologies with spirituality. He brainstormed the participants for more than three hours and introduced an enthusiastic plan of Jeevey Gurbani Naal Lehar for moral reconstruction of society. Talking about the role of teachers in developing drug free society he asked to take up the issue with responsibility. He introduced a systematic plan to create mass awareness among the families to conserve natural resources. He advised the teachers to educate farming families of their students to adopt resource conservation technologies recommended by Punjab Agricultural University. Talking about the deteriorating quality of air and water he asked to ensure the ‘Leaf Colour Chart’ based urea applications to avoid excessive use of urea in agriculture. The participants promised with raised hands to carry forward the Atam Pargas Mission of moral reconstruction of society. The teachers showed a great interest to include ‘Atam Pargas Publications’ in their school syllabus. Pr. Ram Singh, Ex- Principal Akal Degree College, Mastuana graced the occasion as chief guest. He appreciated the efforts of Atam Pargas Social Welfare Council and felt the need to organize such workshops at large scale. He emphasized that the pursuit of knowledge must lead to truthful living. Mrs. Paramjit Kaur, Guru Hargobind Public Sen. Sec. School, Sidhwan appreciated the efforts of Atam Pargas Social Welfare Council and beseech the teachers to join Atam Pargas Mission. Mr. Sarbjeet Singh, Assistant Librarian, GHPSS, Sidhwan recite a poem. S. Mohinder Singh, Director, Guru Nanak Public School, Bassian gave a clarion call to the participants to volunteer for the Atam Pargas Mission and proposed a vote of thanks. The management committee of the school and Pr. Ram Singh honored Dr. Varinderpal Singh. Pr. Avtar Singh, Guru Nanak Public School, Bassian conducted stage of the function.
