The PAU Unit of Atam Pargas Social Welfare Council adopted two villages (Rajoke and Bikhiwind) in remote area of district Tarn Taran Sahib. Farmers training camps were organized in both villages.

The farmers were found highly excited and ambitious to follow the guidelines. The villagers told that its first time that someone has approached them in remote area to educate about agriculture and to discuss the educational-spiritual-moral-cultural growth of their youth.

Dr. Varinderpal Singh Sr. Soil Scientist, PAU, Ludhiana took interactive sessions of the farmers in morning at village Rajoke and in evening at Bikhiwind. The farmers listened with interest and promised to reduce the consumption of chemicals in agriculture.

Maharaja Ranjit Singh Convent, School, Rajoke took the responsibility of follow up action at village Rajoke. Adarsh Public School and Kalgidhar Public School, Bikhiwind will follow the farmers at Bikhiwind.

Atam Pargas projects are progressively outreaching the grassroots. All the members are requested to own the responsibilities in their areas and enjoy the blessings of Waheguru Ji.
